ATLANTIC LNG SITE TOUR ON 06 JUNE 2013
Atlantic LNG Introduction
Atlantic is one of the world’s largest producers of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). We are based in the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago and operate and manage a natural gas liquefaction facility located at Point Fortin in South Trinidad.
Our facility consists of four processing lines, or ‘Trains’. Each Train is owned by a group of members in its own holding Company. We receive natural gas from offshore fields north and east of Trinidad which are owned and operated by affiliates of Atlantic’s members and others. The natural gas is processed and liquefied in the Trains, which are capable of producing up to 100,000 cubic metres of LNG per day.
Our role in the global energy economy is significant. LNG is currently the only economical way to move natural gas from key production areas to importing countries. Trinidad and Tobago is the seventh largest LNG exporter in the world and Atlantic is responsible for processing approximately half of Trinidad and Tobago’s natural gas production. Our LNG is shipped by our customers to some 21 destinations around the world including Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, India, Korea and Japan.
Atlantic is involved in a number of local initiatives and partnerships aimed at enhancing our value to our community and nation, helping to create enduring opportunities for the generations to come. Our partnerships facilitate youth empowerment; sports sponsorships; agricultural and entrepreneurial training; skills development and capacity building through training for the energy sector. Atlantic aspires to be more than just an LNG company; we are committed to moving a generation ahead.
This site tour is exclusively for Global Gas & LNG Summit attendees and strictly limited to the first 30 sign-ups. Do not miss out on this opportunity to explore the facility of the seventh largest LNG exporter in the world!
