Holiday Inn Cartagena Morros, Cartagena, Colombia,
5 - 8 October 2015

Gas/LNG Transportation, Distribution and Commercialization for Small to Mid-scale Projects Master Class

Gas/LNG is the number one fuel of choice to meet the energy and future development needs. Recent game changing developments have affected supply and demand and fundamentally shifted the classical supply chain of gas/LNG to a totally new trend. In addition to supplying the needed energy, gas/LNG is also becoming the solution for land and marine transportation, and the feedstock for petrochemicals and power generation. Complete understanding of such shift is essential to stay successful in this business.

Traditional global LNG projects are large-scale, very long project cycle and capital intensive. Recently, small to mid-scale LNG projects have become more prominent. These projects can be brought on line in relatively short period of time, use relatively simple technology, and do not require a very large investment in infrastructure. For example smaller LNG tankers, barges and trucks can bring this fuel to regions that are not connected by natural gas pipelines. However, many challenges in gas/LNG transportation, distribution and commercialization have emerged amid these new developments. Practical and commercially viable solutions to address these challenges have become imperative.
