CMMS BINDER Summary

One of the deliverables for you is a comprehensive CMMS binder. This assignment is the beginning of the CMMS binder. As you complete each section, you will have a deeper understanding of the issues you face.

When complete, the binder should describe the complete company system, including sizing and scope. The paperwork analysis can yield the number of WO (ROs) per month, the asset list will show the number of units under maintenance control, and the organizational plan will show the names of mechanics. The physical inventory will determine the number of line items the computerized inventory system will store and process. You have a concise reporting hierarchy for reports in your system.

If you are planning to computerize (re-computerize), these steps will help define your organization’s master files. So far, All the work can be used in computerization efforts. If you are in the purchase cycle for a system, a summary of these steps will make an excellent system specification.

The asset list and physical inventory will tell us the size of the system and can help estimate the effort level necessary to install or maintain a CMMS.
