This is the 3rd time we run this course in Trinidad. The program includes a general overview of construction contracts, an in-depth review of the FIDIC contracts and their provisions, to help you well understand:
- Roles of each party under the Contract
- Preparation of the terms of the Contract under the “Golden Rules”
- Preparation of the general and special conditions of the Contract
- Administration of a FIDIC contract by Clients, Contractors, the Engineer and others

Roberto Hernández-Garcia is one of the leading construction lawyers in Latin America and the world. He has involved in some of the most important infrastructure projects as counselor, dispute board and arbitrator.
He is a graduate from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, where he also got his Master’s Degree, and an alumnus of the University of California at Davis’ US Law program.
He has attended programs of Construction Law, Negotiation and Mediation in Cambridge, England; Harvard, USA and King’s college in London, England.
He has acted as dispute avoidance and adjudication board under FIDIC contracts for more than 15 years in El Salvador, Honduras, México, Peru and Argentina.
He has been a trainer for more than 20 years for many leading construction companies, government authorities and multilateral banks such as the Interamerican Development Bank.
He is often invited to conferences, workshops and events of construction law around the world as a construction law expert.
For many years he has chaired the Anticorruption Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce, Mexico. He is a trainer, professor and promoter of anticorruption regulations in several universities.
