COURSE FORMAT
This course will be a highly interactive and participative workshop where participants will be encouraged to discuss their own practice and compare it to others and recognised best practice. Case studies and group exercises will form an important part of the workshop and participants will be encouraged to discuss and reflect on their own organisations practices and ways to improve them.

ABOUT THE EXPERT TRAINER
Mr. Marshall Levine, LLB, Bsc, MSc, ACIArb

Marshall Levine is the senior partner and hands on advisor to significant infrastructure projects. He is a leading partner specializing in Construction and Project Finance at Marshall F. Levine & Associates, a boutique law practice.
He also runs a PFI/PPP Consultancy business called PPP Legal Advisors advising foreign governments, particularly in Central & Eastern Europe and Africa, and on PPP Projects and programmes in Europe, and was a director of IFSL Limited (part of UKTI), a British financial services company, being part of its City UK Specialist PPP Consultancy group.
He is a former head of Construction and Infrastructure at Linklaters for 24 years and was also a founder partner of Linklaters PFI/PPP practice when PFI/PPP began in or around 1993 in the UK.
Marshall Levine has specialized in construction, developments and finance, joint ventures, developments, PFI/PPP projects in the UK and internationally and is particularly experienced in drafting tender documents, concession contracts, PPP agreements, design and construction and facilities contracts, dispute resolution and rescues of difficult projects.
He has been involved in schools, roads and rail, ports, marinas, higher education, urban regeneration, prisons, health, power, water and sewage, dams, and local authority. He has also been acting for the Cyprus Government, the Ministry of Transport in Bulgaria, Ghana, Ethiopia Roads Authority, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria Infrastructure Commission, Lagos State PPP Unit, the Government of Kazakhstan, Government of Albania ( roads and tunnels), Government of Turkey, St Petersburg highways, Singapore, Government of Nigeria, and Greek Government (roads), Romania (infrastructure funds), Government of Jordan (infrastructure funds), Montenegro, and the Government of Egypt (schools PPPs), and also in relation to a bus deregulation project in St Petersburg, as well as development infrastructure projects in Lebanon, Balearic Islands, Prague, Dubai, Budapest, Brno, Malta (accommodation project) and the Turks & Caicos Islands and a project in Nassau, Bahamas.
Marshall Levine is a solicitor in the UK, practising in building and engineering disputes, and is an accredited Arbitrator and Mediator and trainer. He has written many books on Infrastructure and, construction, insurance and real estate development.
