Prescriptive Maintenance Master Class

Putting new technology to work for your best maintenance and reliability

Are you going to be ready when your boss asks for your big data, IIoT, analytics or Artificial Intelligence strategy? Will you be familiar with virtual reality training or augmented reality assisted maintenance? How to answer the important question “Where exactly does the Return on Investment come from”?

In simple business language, this course defines the technologies, shows how they work together and boils down the claims of the vendors to actionable projects you can pilot inexpensively and quickly.

Each of these technologies would, by itself, transform maintenance. Taken together there are now unheard-of opportunities. In times of great change there are hucksters peddling buggy software and hardware not up to your needs. Millions will be wasted through basic lack of understanding of the state of the business.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the real meaning of all the buzz words and acronyms of the field
  • Explore the relationships between IIoT, Big Data Analytics and Prescriptive Maintenance
  • Learn where to start
  • Develop algorithms for maintenance data analysis
  • Understand Big Data and how it relates to your work
  • Understand where Artificial Intelligence fits into maintenance
  • Plan for integration into your current maintenance effort
  • Build a business case for prescriptive maintenance

Exercises and Case Studies: Different people are different types of learners. This class features many different training modalities. It has several kinds of exercises, discussions, activities and case studies to help enhance the training experience and to teach specific knowledge of prescriptive maintenance.

Using Pre-course Questionnaires to understand your specific learning needs in advance, this tailor made program ensures that you will leave with know how to apply what you have learnt to your own unique situations and operating environments.

What this is not: This class is not a class about implementation of artificial intelligence or the advantages and disadvantages of various algorithms or analytic approaches. In short this is a course for maintenance-oriented professionals looking for knowledge and insight into this new field. It will also show IT professionals the shape and topology of the maintenance application with some of the necessary interfaces.
